Spear of Balsa from Seirei no Moribito. I am working on a cosplay of her as well. I made this with the power tools in the shop, honed the blade with a belt sander, turned the handle on the lathe...
I will get shots of the little ornament on the butt of the spear, laters, this will satisfy now, yes?

Pine, poplar, screws, patience, spraypaint.

I have a better version one actually made of steel looks great. If you'd like to see a picture I'd be more than happy to show you its not complete like your wooden version. It still needs a staff/handle/pole to be the most accurate version of the spear not to mention I hope to have a leather sheath made to look like the one Balsa uses to protect her blade. I am so proud of it. Hard earned money put into it and I was very pleased with the result. But you have something over me. You have talent. You crafted yours yourself. Its not bad and you can actually carry yours to a cosplay anime convention. I couldn't do that mines considered a deadly weapon.

lol my boss where I work wondered why I didn't straight up use metal and I told him they wouldn't let me into a con with metal. I would like to see yours when you finish, that sounds really awesome! I haven't done much work with metal or leather so that's really neat.
